November 30th, 2016 – Tulsa, Oklahoma based “TRIDE,” has officially announced a launch date to begin operations in Wichita Falls.  TRIDE will be the first rideshare
company to start operations in Wichita Falls, after the City Council passed a rideshare ordinance, allowing technology based companies like TRIDE to operate.

(November 19, 2015) CHAMBER PRESS RELEASE: PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING HALL OF FAME MOVING TO WICHITA FALLS

The Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame (PWHF) announced today plans to relocate the organization's headquarters, hall of fame and museum to Wichita Falls.  President of the PWHF, Johnny Mantell made the announcement during a ceremony at the new headquarters, which will be located in the Annex of the First Wichita Building, known locally as Big Blue.

(August 4, 2015) ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PRESS RELEASE: PRESS RELEASE - AMFUEL INCENTIVES APPROVED

WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS (May 5, 2015 - AM) - Wichita Falls City Councilors today approved an incentive package to offer to the Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) Component Repairs facility in Wichita Falls. Economic officials say this deal would help acquire new repair technology positioning the facility for increased production. Per this proposal, P&WC Component Repairs would invest approximately $3 million in state-of-the-art equipment that will position the facility for increased production of new hot component repairs product lines. The 4A Board will provide a $1.8 million interest free forgivable loan if certain conditions are met.

Last year we surveyed our members and asked about their priorities in regards to education and workforce development. The response overwhelmingly supported major improvements to our Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings. (APRIL 7, 2015) ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PRESS RELEASE: COBRA KAI FLIGHT ACADEMY EXPANSION

Wichita Falls, TX (April 7, 2015) – Wichita Falls City Councilors today approved an incentive package to Cobra Kai Flight Academy to help this locally owned business continue to grow. The primary incentive provides a $140,000 forgivable loan towards the purchase of a flight simulator to be located at their flight school at Kickapoo Airport. Cobra Kai Flight Academy is committed to create five new jobs and retain 13 jobs during the five-year agreement. The Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce helped facilitate the incentives first through the Wichita Falls Economic Development Corporation (4A Board), then on to the Wichita Falls City Council today for final approval.
