International Economic Development Council Announces Taylor Davis as Vice-Chair of the Young Professionals Advisory Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has announced the roster of Economic Development leaders that will serve on the organization’s Young Professionals Advisory Committee in 2022. Taylor Davis, Director of the Wichita Falls Talent Partnership & Military Liaison, Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce, will serve as Vice-Chair on the Young Professionals Advisory Committee.

“We look forward to the service that this exceptional selection of professionals will bring in 2022,” said 2022 IEDC Board Chair and President and Executive Director of Work Rise, Urban Institute Todd Greene, CEcD, “I cannot wait to see what we will accomplish together going forward.”

This committee advises IEDC on matters important to young economic development professionals and students of economic development-related disciplines. It recommends programming that is relevant to the younger set, assists with communication to this demographic and those interested in supporting young professionals, and provides general guidance to the organization on engaging young people. The Young Professionals Advisory Committee provides an outlet for younger members to become more involved in the organization and reports to the External Member Relations Committee.

“It’s been an amazing experience to serve with the Young Professionals Advisory Committee over the last year. Having been selected to serve as the Vice-Chair for the 2022 year is an honor that I will not soon forget or take lightly. I look forward to continuing our important work with our cohort to ensure that Economic Development continues to be an inclusive and thriving career for emerging leaders,” said Taylor Davis, Director, Wichita Falls Talent Partnership & Military Liaison.
