Strategy & Planning
• Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent recurring issues.
• Alert management to emerging trends in incidents.

Acquisition & Deployment
• Deploy computers, software, and peripherals as needed.
• Install communication/data wiring as needed.

Operational Management
• Assist in providing standard desktop support when needed.
• Escalate incidents with accurate documentation to suitable technician or vendor, when required.
• Help develop and maintain help desk ticketing system.
• Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
• Research solutions through internal and external knowledgebase as needed.
• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate, including hardware repairs, delivery of peripherals, or other fixes as determined.
• Perform other duties as needed including but not limited to preventative maintenance, checking and cleaning of servers, network cabinets, dedicated HVAC filters, and work area.
• Contribute to technician knowledgebase and training as needed.
• Provide suggestions for continual improvement.

Knowledge & Experience
• Knowledge of advanced computer hardware, including Cisco Meraki network equipment and VMWare hyperconverged environments.
• Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012, Apple iOS.
• Extensive application support experience with VMWare, Infor Cloudsuite Industrial ERP, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Office 365 product suite, basic TCP/IP principals.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.
• Fluent English language skills.

Work Conditions
• 40-hour onsite work week.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
• Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
