JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for administering maintenance/repair work processes on CNC mills, CNC lathes, punch presses, saws, vibratory tumblers and other manufacturing machines. This includes repair of Forklift trucks and other Company vehicles within the facilities environment as well as preventative maintenance for facility physical plant structure. The Facility Maintenance Technician will also collaborate with manufacturer engineer and supervisors as well ensure general housekeeping on facility equipment is performed and other ancillary services as requested. Also provide integrity and quality control by consistently delivering superior maintenance and servicing company equipment and facilities while maximizing personal productivity. Will work with a positive attitude, with a spirit of cooperation and occasionally mentor co-workers. Will maximize personal productivity while upholding company standards on areas of facility and machine performances and complies with all company workplace safety programs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (Below are the primary job duties; however other duties may apply.)

  • Will perform preventative maintenance, and execute diagnostics for emergency repairs to hi level of competence utilizing engineering, owner manuals, and operator input
  • Maintain necessary preventative maintenance cycles of time and steps taken to ensure production machines are at peak performance
  • Reports any irregularities to immediate supervisor to determine if higher tier maintenance is required. S/he will request specialty technician when repair is not localized or is a complex repair or requires specialty tools.
  • Be knowledgeable and remain current with all shop machine manuals and processes, regulations and guidelines including fork lift operations and electrical equipment attached to buildings
  • Be knowledgeable and remain current with all safety guidelines with regards to facilities and environmental compliance issues
  • Must understand that time-sensitive repair work orders are to be prioritized and furthermore communicate conditions which compromise on time completion or restrict machinery production.
  • Communicate the status of lack of material, out-of-service machines and/or equipment to the Shop supervisor well in advance of each work process for which would ordinarily be needed to complete scope of work.
  • Performs light maintenance of offices i.e. light bulb changes, ballasts, key locks, door operations and maintenance.
  • Will liaison with all facility vendors on electrical, HVAC, and plumbing

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Reads and understands English sufficiently to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Speaks English sufficiently to communicate in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Can read and understand drawings or job orders.

EDUCATION: High school diploma, GED or VO-TECH degree.
EXPERIENCE: 3-6 years previous industrial mechanical and electrical experience.
COMPUTER: Windows Office Environment- entry level
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift fifty pounds or greater. Work scope requires bending, stooping, carrying, climbing, ladders and stairs.
