The Chief Accountant supervises the daily operation of the Accounting Section to include: General Ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets. Responsible for the preparation of financial reports and balance sheets. Develop and write policies and procedures for both internal operations and Center wide activities. Responsible for overseeing credit card processes, both merchant services and procurement card. Provide training to immediate staff and all Center staff as needed or required. Primary contact for all financial audits and reviews by Health and Human Services and any external audit firm. Responsible for backup preparation of Medicaid Administrative Claiming financial reporting, Cost Administrative Claiming, and CARE Report III. Responsible for Cost Reports to include preparing, training, delegating, etc.
