Spherion is hiring for a Human Resource Generalist! Pay is starting on $17.00/hr, but will depend on experience/ education. Working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Recruitment / New Hire Process:
– Organize resumes and job applications.
– Prepare new employee orientation packets.
– Process new employee paperwork and enter in payroll service online.
– Create new employee files.
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
– Process payroll.
– Answer payroll related questions.
– Reconcile benefit invoices and approve for payment.
– Reconcile temp agency invoices to payroll spreadsheets.
– Assist with annual open benefit enrollment.
Record Maintenance:
– Maintain employee files and payroll database.
– Perform employee file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
– Complete termination paperwork.
Administrative Duties:
– Quarterly Company Meetings??? prepare report for company president; pick up refreshments for 2 separate meetings.
– Coordinate annual company picnic.
– Coordinate annual company Christmas luncheon (decorate tables, etc)
– Coordinate monthly department lunches.
– Make occasional business travel arrangements
– Prepare monthly business review reports
– Order and manage office supplies.
Accounting: Vouch benefit & staffing agency invoices.
Skills:
– At least 1 yr Payroll experience
– Some accounting knowledge
– Good payroll experience preferred
Qualifications:
– Clerical/ administrative experience
– Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
– Must be trustworthy to keep payroll and company financial information confidential.
– Must be well organized, easy going and someone who likes to stay busy.
