Quality Assurance Manager

Spherion Staffing is accepting applications for a qualified, experienced QA Manager for a local manufacturing company. As the QA Manager, you will lead and improve the company’s Quality Management System to ensure conformance to company, regulatory and customer requirements. Working hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve QMS manual and procedures by updating them as needed to provide an effective operational system.
Manage & keep current: corrective actions, internal & external audits, RMAs, DIRs, supplier quality processes, calibrations, and continuous improvement actions.
Move system towards having CARs, DIRs, and Audits on-line in SharePoint.
Work with all organizational functions & locations to ensure documented procedures are effective and in line with company objectives
Report quality related data in management reviews and to take corrective action by working with the management team.
Actively work in the Inspection process as well as supervising other Quality Assurance personnel.

Skills:
– Manufacturing operations experience (fabrication, machining, assembly, contract review, shipping, etc.) would be beneficial
– Previous experience in aviation manufacturing would be desired.
– A working knowledge of “lean manufacturing” and “six sigma methodologies” would be helpful
– A college degree is desired.

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
– A working knowledge of all applicable FAA Far23 part21, standards such as: PMA, STC, Field Approvals etc., along with the Patent process.
– A working knowledge of ERP business systems (i.e. Visual Business System)
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
– Must submit to a background check and drug screen
– Must have a HS diploma or GED
