Spherion is recruiting for qualified managerial candidates for a Product Manager position, on a local company’s Product Development & Marketing Team. PM’s will implement various strategies regarding the company’s global products in order to meet established sales or market share targets. The Senior Product Manager will:
– Manage the global product life cycle of one or more products by monitoring health of products through internal and external reports, initiating voice-of-customer activities, and producing pricing reports.
– Run specified Product Advisory Committee of global sales staff and ultimately make suggested changes to the Product Development Roadmap and product portfolio
– Suggest changes to the Sale Order entry process and ERP system in order to optimize global product reporting
– For one or more products, define improvements to global sizing software to promote global standards, optimize the sizing process and price of new units.
– Help drive the lean enterprise system in Product Development processes
– Follow HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and related work instructions and assist implementation of HSE regulations and policies
Working schedule is Monday-Friday 8am- 5pm with some travel every 3 months or so for 2-7 days. Majority of travel will be to Houston, but there is the opportunity for international.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct market research for various products; data analysis involved
– Help define product requirements for new product development and design
– For new product designs, manage global list price and regional pricing guidelines, lead launch of products globally, advise on global advertising campaigns, and monitor sales performance to effectively market assigned products/services.
– Monitor, analyze, and evaluate domestic and international market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for one or more products.
– Monitor, analyze, and evaluate product performance and customer feedback to generate new product ideas.
– Identify product/service changes to meet customer needs.
– Monitor sales volume, revenues and costs against regional forecasts.
– Adapt plans to improve the sales performance of the product/service.
– Work with Global Marketing Team to assist sales campaigns and sales collateral for the product/service that are effective and appropriate for the target audience.
