Preps, cooks and delivers meals and snacks to all locations. Completes inventory, submits grocery and paper goods supply lists to supervisor. May be required to place orders when necessary. Purchases groceries and paper goods as needed for the program. Cleans and sanitizes kitchen and cafeteria areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. May complete duties related to meeting set up, training and other related responsibilities.
Ensures proper preparation of all meals and snacks.
Ensures prep work for upcoming meal services is stored properly and held at the correct temperature.
Performs delivery of meals and snacks to other branch locations.
Performs order pick up at local food distributors and supermarkets.
Ensures Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned area and equipment. May perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, and general cleaning.
Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment.
Records and reports all needed repairs; repairs as directed.
Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
May set up furniture for events.
And any other duties assigned by management.
Adhere to association and position training requirements.
May work at any location and adjust your schedule as to the needs of the association.
Must submit to and expect to pass a licensing finger print check
Ability to prepare food for up to 500 children on a daily basis.
Six months or more of related experience preferred.
Ability to record foods being used and complete basic reporting paperwork.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
Ability to report and record maintenance requests.
Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
