Human Capital

An economy’s most important resources are the collective knowledge, attributes, skills and experience of its workforce.

Our Human Capital Team facilitates quality pathways between employers, educators and community members to ensure the availability of highly skilled talent to support our growing key industries.

Our Services

  • Make Connections: Facilitate quality pathways between employers, educators and community members to ensure the availability of highly skilled talent to support our growing key industries.

  • Promote Opportunities: Showcase employment opportunities in the Wichita Falls area on our Jobs Board.

  • Grow Emerging Leaders: Create a pipeline of emerging leadership in the community by promoting strong mentorship.

Workforce Partnerships

Talent and workforce have become synonyms when discussing the labor force. At the Wichita Falls Chamber, we use the term “human capital” instead because we feel it more appropriately represents the skills and education required by today’s workers. Human capital is perhaps the key driver of economic success and prosperity in an economy and is a top factor influencing location decisions across business sectors.

Our talent partners, some of which are listed below, endeavor to create a “collective impact” by aligning education and training providers with cross-sector partners to improve educational outcomes and create a more competitive workforce. Together, we seek to improve our area’s human capital by producing and retaining “homegrown” talent and ensuring a quality pipeline exists for job seekers from all industries, backgrounds and education levels in our community. to employers.
